Strategic Design 1 – Lesson task 2.4 (Part 1)

Lesson task 2.3 was to simply watch some inspirational youtube videos about sketching and how important this process is.

Lesson task 2.4:
I will use this last task to complete the logo, where I generate ideas using idea generation methods and based on these I will outline further ideas for the Fra Gård-logo.

I started to just write the name “Fra Gård” on a piece of paper, where I explored different fonts and formats. I tried to implement some things I associate with the shop or Svolvær itself. 

I created a mind map around “Fra Gård”, where I wrote down everything I associated/thought of. I then used metaphorical analysis to get started with some more sketches.

Here are two sketches I came up with using metaphorical analysis. One with a shopping bag and northern lights coming out of it. The other is a jam jar with the mountain as a sticker. I didn’t see the potential of them for a logo, but it was fun.

I did some more sketching, mostly digitally, which you can see in the slideshow below.
