Some questions i have answered as the first task in this subject:
1. If you search for a particular company and you cannot find a website for them, how does this shape your opinion of the company?
– I automatically become unsure about the company if I can’t find any information about them. But if they have social media such as Facebook or Instagram, where they are active by posting various things, I will feel more confident about the company. Then they do not necessarily need to have a website apart from this. But it all depends on which company we are talking about. If, for example, it is a company that sells products, they should certainly have a website in my opinion.
2. If the website of a company or business is outdated, will it be a deciding factor in whether you will support the business?
– Yes, if I have ever entered a website that is out of date, I have quickly clicked out again. When it is out of date I often feel that it is not to be trusted or that it is not a serious website, although this may not be true.
3. What elements on a website will help you trust a business or company?
– The business/company should have an «about us» page, contact information, have updated website design and display reviews.
4. How do you feel when you come to an error page on a website? How does it influence your opinion of the company or entity to which the website belongs?
-I find it annoying, but I also think that this is probably something they are working on at the moment, or that there may be a lot of people using the site at the same time. I often exit the site and check back later.
5. If you struggle to find something on a website or don’t understand how to navigate where you want to be, will you try to contact them personally to find what you are looking for? Or will you close the window and browse to their competition?
– I close the window and brows to their competitor. But if there is no competitor, or if the eventual competitor is much more expensive, I would perhaps contact them.
6. If you cannot find a physical address or contact details on a website, will this influence your overall opinion of the business or company?
– Yes and no, I guess. It is rare that I look for the website’s address if, for example, I am going to buy clothes from a well-known website. But if I come across a website I don’t know, I’ll check it out to find out where the products are shipped from. So if I don’t find this, I doubt whether I will sunbathe on them.
7. How long will you wait for a website to load before you give up and move on to the next one?
– Maybe around 1-3 minutes.
8. If a website has broken image links or buttons that don’t work, will this influence the credibility of the company or business?
– Yes, that would raise my doubts.
9. When browsing the Internet on your mobile phone, how do you feel about a website if the text is too small to read or the buttons are hard to click? Will you try to visit the website from your computer, or will you lose interest?
– If it was something important I would try to visit the site from my computer, but otherwise I would just leave it.
10. Name one thing that will make you go back to a website and one thing that will cause you to close a website window.
-I will come back if they have what I’m looking for and are reliable.
-I close the window if it is out of date.
Question 2
Take a screenshot of one website that you think is good, and write down at least three elements that impressed you.
https://www.chiaraluzzana.com/

When you click on the website, the text «flying» comes in and two of the words are suddenly highlighted. When we click anywhere on the screen, we are taken to a bright page where a pleasant melody starts playing. When you check further around the website you will find many interesting ways to set up a website. Fascinating! Now take a screenshot of a website that frustrates you. Write down at least three things that are causing a negative experience.

I would actually never click on anything on this website, I feel it screams fraud, hehe. They have used an outdated design with cheap illustrations, poor color combinations, and outdated fonts. This just doesn’t work.
